Thai Students Invited to Chiba to participate in “Foreign Student Monitor Tour” Project The Chiba Prefectural Government invited 10 university students from Thailand under its monitor tour project from February 2 to 6, 2016. The students visited various popular tourist sites in the prefecture, attended an exchange program with local students and paid a courtesy call on Chiba Governor Kensaku Morita.
The Thai students posted their comments about tourist spots on social networking services (SNS) such as Facebook and Twitter.
Outline of tour
Participants in the annual tour for Thai university students, the third of its kind, visited major sightseeing spots in Chiba, such as Mother Farm and Otaki Castle. They posted tourist attractions in the prefecture on SNS.
Japanese students in the prefecture accompanied the Thai students for two days during the tour, deepening mutual understanding.
